Mustard seeds have been used since ancient times as a food and remedy. In the Greeks, mustard was used for meat consumption, while the Romans used it as an antidote against snake bites, muscle fever and even plague.

Those who suffer from chronic constipation should consume a teaspoon of mustard seeds with milk or water. Against rheumatic pains, put a mustard paste on the affected areas. This paste is the result of mixing 3-4 tablespoons of mustard flour with warm water.
