Pure henna, Khadi natural hair dye (Red) - Khadi brand pure henna is a 100% natural hair dye that gives hair volume and shine. Pure Khadi Henna paint is 100% vegetable, does not contain chemical additives, preservatives or artificial dyes. Henna dyes hair in various shades of red depending on the initial hair color. It can be applied on all hair types (blonde, satin, brunette, white). Applying pure henna on blond hair gives an orange similar to the color of carrots. Applied on dark hair, henna gives it mahogany shades. Pure henna is used as a base if you want to dye your hair white or blond in a dark shade. Khadi Natural Henna dyes hair naturally, covers white strands and is suitable for all hair types, including chemically colored hair. Khadi Henna henna dye is a healthy alternative to hair dyes full of commercial chemicals.

Khadi natural henna dye can be applied on dyed, chemically treated hair, on damaged, bleached or white hair. Important - in the case of chemically dyed hair, a period (a few washes) must pass before dyeing before applying Khadi natural hair dyes because the chemicals negatively influence the pH of the hair. . For optimal results, it is recommended to follow the instructions below. To accentuate the shades of red, you can add a few teaspoons of lemon juice.

How do Khadi natural hair dyes work?

Khadi hair dyes, with the exception of neutral non-coloring henna, give the hair a long-lasting color. For this reason, it is recommended to perform a preliminary test using the hairs in the brush to avoid unwanted surprises.

Khadi hair dyes cover the hair with a thin layer of color and the result depends on the initial color of the hair. For this reason, the color obtained and the reflexes will be unique. Khadi hair dyes are constantly used to accentuate the reflections of the hair.

Khadi hair dyes do not discolor the hair as they are 100% natural and do not contain chemical ingredients.

All Khadi dyes can be mixed together, the amounts depending on the desired color, hair structure and of course the initial hair color.

Test test

To avoid obtaining an unwanted color, it is recommended to perform a test, applying the hair dye, prepared according to the instructions, on the hairs left in the brush. After applying the dye, the hairs are placed in a hot covered ball. Check the intensity and hue of the color at 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes after application by taking a strand from the bowl for each category of minutes. The 4 strands are washed with warm water, without using shampoo. The color is defined within 24/48 hours.
Important - it is recommended to apply Khadi hair dyes only after the test has been performed and the desired shade has been identified.

What do you need for Khadi henna painting?
  • Khadi hair dye
  • a ceramic bowl of suitable sizes
  • hot water
  • glove (is available in the hair dye box)
  • an old towel to protect clothes
  • a brush for applying paint (can also be applied with hands protected by gloves)
  • plastic cap (available in hair dye box)
  • a towel to keep the dye warm after applying to the hair.
  • Khadi hair dyes are mixed with water until a homogeneous, creamy paste is obtained, which is easily spread on the hair, without flowing (for 50 gr of powder, use about 150-200ml of liquid). A box of dye is enough to dye the hair that reaches to the shoulders. In the case of curly hair, the paste obtained must be more liquid.

Important : to get a more intense color when using Pure Henna or Henna and Amla or Henna with Amla and Jatropha it is recommended that the water used to obtain hair dye be hot (90 ° C). The same rule applies to neutral henna (Senna / Cassia). The paste obtained by mixing henna with water can be applied when it cools down and can be supported by the skin.

It is not recommended to add lemon juice to hair dyes that contain a significant amount of Indigo. This additive does not allow the color to develop properly. In order to obtain optimal results, Indigo paint and all the others that have Indigo composition are mixed with water that must have a temperature of 50 ° C (33.8 ° F).

How to apply Khadi hair dyes?
Before applying the hair dye it is recommended to wash the hair with a shampoo that does not contain silicone as this ingredient creates a barrier that does not allow the dye to make its effect properly.

The paste is applied warm on damp hair (in order not to cool it is recommended to keep the container in warm water), with a brush or with your hands, on each strand starting from the root in a circular direction, after which it is placed over the plastic cap. With the help of a damp cleansing disk, remove the paste that accidentally got on the skin. Wrap a towel around your head to keep the paste warm and let it act according to the desired intensity (30 - 60 - 90 - 120 minutes).

Tips : to avoid staining the skin with paint, it is recommended to apply a vegetable, olive or jojoba oil on the risk areas. The oil is applied before the dye is applied to the hair.

The paste is removed from the hair with warm water until the water is clean. DO NOT USE shampoo or other styling products in the next 24 hours after applying the paint to allow color stabilization (24-48 hours for hair dyes that have a significant amount of Indigo - Dark Satin, Black, Indigo, etc. ). The next day, in order to obtain a lasting color and a brighter and brighter hair, it is possible to apply on the hair, before washing, the hair oil with Amla brand Khadi (action time at least 1 hour).

    Tips for dyeing white
    or blond hair
Pure henna colors white hair and can be used as a base for other Khadi hair dyes that have a significant amount of Indigo in the composition (Dark Satin, Indigo, Black). This last rule also applies to blond hair.

Warning : Pure indigo does not color white hair, but can give it green or blue shades. Dyeing white or blonde hair with dark shades can be done by following the following 2 steps:

    1. white hair is first dyed with pure henna or other colors that have a high concentration of henna (Henna and Alma or Henna, Amla and Jatropha).
    2. the hair is dyed with dark dye after 24-48 hours, when the first color has stabilized (the dye is applied on damp hair), OR immediately after the first dye has been removed with water.

Special recipes / Additives that accentuate the color
To get a more accentuated and long-lasting color, you can add a teaspoon of salt to Indigo hair dye.

Khadi hair dyes can also be mixed with black tea instead of water. In this case, the tea should not be too hard because it can dry the hair and the dyeing result should not be optimal. 3 tea bags are enough for 250ml of water.

Attention : Due to the fact that the hair structure is different for each person, the amount of tea or salt that can be used differs from person to person. If the hair becomes too dry, it is recommended that the amount of additives be reduced or even eliminated.

In general, Khadi does not recommend adding additives to hair dyes. Due to the fact that customers want to experiment, the Khadi team recommends the following additives that can be added in small quantities: milk, honey (in some situations can negatively influence the intensity of dark shades), silicone conditioner without hair, aloe vera juice without added vitamin C (in case of dry hair is not recommended an amount greater than one third of the amount of liquid used).

The box contains: pure henna 100gr, a plastic glove and a plastic cap.

Khadi natural henna does not contain:
SLS, SLES, PEG, EDTA, ammonia, parabens, preservatives, synthetic perfumes, synthetic dyes, PPD (para phenylenediamine) etc.
