The amount of venom released by a bee with fully developed venom glands is about 300μg venom / sting, a liquid that corresponds to an amount of about 100μg dry matter. Liquid venom loses 75% of its initial weight by evaporating volatiles.

Storage is done in clean, airy spaces, and long-term at -18ºC and protected from light, and transport does not require special conditions.
