Description
Textured soy protein that cooks quickly and can be prepared in a variety of recipes as a meat substitute. These vegetable protein chunks are obtained by cold-pressing the soybeans (to remove the oil content), followed by pressure steaming to form the chunks and finally dehydrating them. They have an extremely delicate yet substantial texture and take on the flavor of any dish they are added to.

Preparation: for rehydration add the product to boiling water/vegetable juice and soak for 10 minutes, then drain and gently squeeze to remove excess liquid. Used as a vegan alternative to minced meat, it is ideal for spaghetti bolognese, shepherd's pie, vegan lasagna, etc. After rehydration the product triples in weight, one packet is equivalent to 10-12 servings.
