Description

Cocoa beans are the seeds of the Theobroma cacao tree, native to Central and South America.

Cocoa beans do not contain sugar, but are an excellent source of protein, fat, carbohydrates, fiber, iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamins B, C and E. The very high content of magnesium in cocoa beans increase the strength of heart muscle, decrease blood clotting, regulate blood pressure and reduce the formation of blood clots and strokes. Magnesium raises the level of alkalinity in the body, which helps in detoxification.
