Description
Kanakis Bio extra virgin olive oil is an organic oil, produced from the "Koroneiki" olive variety. The region of origin is Messinia, nicknamed by Euripides "the land of good fruit".
This oil is obtained using exclusively mechanical processing methods, by cold pressing, these steps including washing, decantation, centrifugation and filtration. Special temperature conditions are observed, so that the properties of the olives and the oil obtained are not altered in any way.
The oil thus produced retains the delicious taste and aroma of fresh fruit. Bio oil is known for its beneficial effects on the human body. Thanks to its high fat content, especially oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat, it is a healthy and fast source of energy. Being an extra virgin oil, its acidity has a value between 0.1 - 0.3%.
Kanakis Bio extra virgin olive oil can be used with salads, pasta, meat, risotto, carpaccio, cheese or eggs.
This is an oil certified Bio and awarded the BIOL Gold Medal 2014
