Biodegradable chewing gum with cinnamon. Chicza is the first biodegradable chewing gum, 100% natural, ecologically certified.

Chicza chewing gum is obtained from the sap of the Chicozapote tree (Manilkara zapota) from the tropical forests of the Yucatan Peninsula, the source of Mayan culture and jaguars, the sap harvest being based on the principles of sustainable agriculture.
For the preparation of the chewing gum, the sap (latex) is boiled, dehydrated and brought in the form of a sticky paste which is then stretched, kneaded and shaped into final shapes. During this process, natural waxes and sweeteners (including agave syrup - a natural sweetener with a low glycemic index) and natural flavors are added.
As simple as it sounds, using only natural ingredients and processes, the resulting product is a rare exception on today's large market for mostly artificial chewing gum. The chewing gums sold usually have, if not always, no more than 5-7% gum base, the rest of the product being artificial and composed of polymer-based gasoline, which is plastic. This is a small percentage compared to the 40% organic gum base of Chicza products.
