Organic apricots ripen in the Turkish sun until mid-July. During this period, the harvest of apricots begins by our partner farmers in the Malatya area in eastern Anatolia. The apricots are shaken from the trees and then collected by hand. The fresh fruit is immediately dried. After 3 days on dry land, the seeds are removed from the apricots and then left to dry again for another 3-4 days.
After being transported to Ören, the sweet fruits are washed, sorted and quickly frozen to combat any insect attack. Rapunzel organic apricots retain their orange-brown color and aroma for a long time. Due to their fresh-sour taste and due to their natural sweetness, apricots are suitable for a lot of pastries. They can also be used in muesli, desserts or fruit sauces. Eaten in its purest form, apricots are an important supplier of energy and minerals, which provide the body with an important supply of potassium, iron and vitamins.
