A delicious activator

The plum (Prunus domestica) belongs to the rosaceae family and originates from Asia Minor. There are a lot of different varieties of plums, of which we can mention the Italian plum or Mirabelle plum (yellow plums). Today plums are grown mainly in the USA, France and Eastern Europe.
The plum harvest period extends from mid-August to October. Due to the fact that the trees are shaken, only ready-ripe plums full of flavor will fall into the nets located at the base of the tree. After collecting the plums, they are washed, the seeds are removed and then dried.
